Pro-Hobbyist Custom Vehicle/Kit Car/Replica
Legislation Legislation has been introduced in the Tennessee House of Representatives (H.B. 320) and Senate (S.B. 812) that would create vehicle registration and titling classifications for custom vehicles and provide for special license plates for these vehicles. H.B. 320 and S.B. 812 define a custom as an altered vehicle at least 25 years old and of a model year after 1948. Under the bills, kit cars and replica vehicles will be assigned a certificate of title bearing the same model year designation as the production vehicle it most closely resembles. The bills mirror model legislation created by SEMA and recently enacted in Illinois, Missouri and Rhode Island. Contact Your Tennessee State Legislators Immediately In Support of These Bills
